The first full year of the charity's work, shaped almost entirely by the COVID-19 pandemic: breakfast provisions for children eligible for free school meals, out-of-hours emergency food, educational support and seasonal projects.

Breakfast Provisions
Between June 2020 and May 2021 the Council was funded to deliver breakfast provisions to children eligible for free school meals. Provisions reached 11 wards within the Telford & Wrekin borough, with two collection points at Arleston Community Centre and Leegate Community Centre (now Leegomery Community Centre), and door-to-door delivery for the most vulnerable households.

Out-of-Hours Emergency Food Service
Throughout the pandemic the Council provided emergency food parcels to families and individuals in need, through a mix of collections and deliveries. Each parcel contained between four and seven days' worth of food per person.

Flash Academy Project
Working closely with the Multicultural Development team at Telford & Wrekin Council, this project supported vulnerable Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and pupils with English as an additional language during 2020. The aim was to ensure pupils could access education and family support, alongside emotional, mental and psychological support during the pandemic.
- Three secondary and eight primary schools took part
- Sixty-one pupils directly helped
- More than 30 mini-iPads provided to families without the technology to access the software at home
Holiday Activity and Eat Well Project
During the summer holidays of 2020, from July to September, the Council delivered a holiday activity programme adapted for the restrictions of the time. Children received cameras to take nature photographs on family walks, footballs to encourage exercise, and colouring books and pencils. Lunches and cooking ingredients were also provided to support healthier eating and cooking skills at home.
Mobile Santa Grotto
With the support of Telford & Wrekin Council, Balfour Beatty and many volunteers, a Mobile Santa Grotto toured the streets of Telford & Wrekin for the two weeks leading up to Christmas, bringing Father Christmas to children during the pandemic.

- More than 1,500 selection boxes distributed to vulnerable children
Christmas Day Meals for people experiencing homelessness
On Christmas Day 2020 the Council worked with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and KIP@Manninplace to deliver hot Christmas meals to over 130 vulnerable adults placed in homeless shelters around the borough, along with drinks and selection boxes.
Easter Egg Project
At Easter 2021 the Board of Trustees wanted to do something extra for vulnerable families and individuals, and to show support for emergency services personnel who had worked through the pandemic. Public support and donations made it possible to deliver over 2,000 Easter eggs to families across the borough and to the children of emergency service personnel.
